Terms of use for Ascendia LMS

Template text for Ascendia Core Ltd. It is not legal advice: have a lawyer review it before you rely on it. Last updated: 27 October 2026.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Ascendia LMS is provided by Ascendia Core Ltd ("Ascendia", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account and security

Give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you add to it. Tell us quickly if you think someone else has used it. We may lock an account that shows signs of abuse or compromise to protect you and others.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to upload malware, to attempt to access another customer's data, to probe or overload the service, or to copy, resell, decompile or modify the software. The service is delivered as a hosted web app (PWA) and is not offered as a download of its source code.

4. Your data

You own the data you put in. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to enter other people's personal data and for answering their requests (see the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023). You can export your data at any time.

5. Availability and changes

We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you pay for.

6. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ascendia is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for non-payment, breach of these terms or legal reasons. After the account ends, we delete your data within a reasonable period unless the law requires us to keep some of it.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions: use the contact page on the Main Page.

Fees (Ascendia LMS)

Schools are billed per active student per term at the rate shown under Subscription. An invoice is raised automatically 6 weeks after the term starts. If an invoice stays unpaid the workspace becomes read-only (you can still view and export everything and you can still pay) until the invoice is paid.

Schools and student data

The school is the controller of its students' data and Ascendia is the processor. The school must tell guardians how their children's data is used (a guardian privacy notice template is provided) and must only give teachers the access they need; teachers see only the classes and subjects assigned to them.
